The first adoption actually took place last weekend and is a rags to riches story, not in financial glory, but in love and compassion. ART volunteer, Lisa Valdez, found Izzie as a stray, showing some aggression due to her fear from being on the street. Lisa quickly restored Izzie's confidence (anyone remember Miss Izzie at Barktoberfest???) and worked on learning new manners! Still, we knew we needed to be careful with placement of this strong willed girl. Eric and Cindy dealt with numerous home visits, including one with a behaviorist before the adoption to help us make a good decision, and they have and will continue her one on one training. We have already received a great update that Luna has even started playing again! (In the picture, Izzie is not cowering, she's poised to jump right after the photo was shot!)
