Learn more about the Dachshund. Jingle is a fantastic little dog. She came from a hoarding situation, but adapted very quickly in her foster home. She does great with the other dogs in the family and loves to play with them and run around in the yard. She LOVES attention and is learning to share attention with other dogs quickly. Loves sleeping under blankets and has grown accustomed to her crate as well. She is crate trained, seems easier to feed in the crate (otherwise her thoughts wander and she does not finish) and is happy to jump in whenever asked. She is not too fond of walking on a leash, but we are working on that. She seems to do better on leash when being walked by herself.
Jingle had severe hair loss (mostly on her back) when we got her. We had her tested for skin diseases, but they all came back negative. We thought it may be just due to poor nutrition and so far, seems that may have been the case because her hair has grown back now, although it may always be a bit thin. She is on a good quality dry food readily available in pet stores (nothing fancy or prescription). You cannott really tell that she has slightly thin hair though, just look at her cute pictures! She is such a doll baby! Jingle is a real sweetheart and a cuddle bug. She is not an alpha dog, and while she is very playful and fine in new surroundings, she will sometimes look to you for direction. She can get a little too active at times but can be easily calmed down. However, for this reason, she may not be the best fit with very young kids as she will likely need to be supervised with them. She is quite curious and does great with other dogs. She has also been at the day care several times and really enjoyed it.
All of our animals come fully vaccinated, spayed or neutered and microchipped. Our adoption fee is $150 for dogs, $85 for cates and $85 for senior pets.
