When a Animal Rescue of Texas volunteer came to get a 2 1/2 year old Lab mix out of a seriously over crowded animal shelter, what she saw was a very handsome dog with a smile on his face and a sparkle in his eyes. She knew he was something special.  Upon leaving the kennel, the dog pulled her down the hall, right to the front door, and pushed it open.  As they walked into the Texas sun and out to freedom, he was smiling ear to ear.      He hasn't stopped smiling since.
 
Beau is a well mannered, happy boy, who is affectionate, eager to please, and knows basic commands.   Although weighing in at 70lbs, nobody has had the heart to tell this sweet boy, he isn't a lap dog!   Beau's favorite activity is playing chase in the back yard with the other dogs in his foster home.

 He loves the good life; going for walks, car rides, swimming, hunting geckos in the garden (which always seem to elude him), and settling down on a comfy dog bed with a chew bone.  Also, he can't resist a good mud puddle.

Beau gets along with other dogs, and likes to go to new places and meet new people.  He is curious and smart.   Beau is potty trained, crate trained, and walks well on leash.  

Beau is such a sweet boy, and is ready to be part of an active family, that would adore him and include him in their lives.
