Learn more about the Bedlington Terrier. It was Monty DelRey's lucky day when he was picked up by an ART volunteer at a rest stop in south Texas. He was a lonely, hungry, cold, matted and dirty little guy, but he made the long trip back to Dallas in his crate without whimper. After baths, haircuts, and all his medicals, Monty is ready for his new family. A poodle mix (there's probably terrier in there!), Monty is about 18 pounds, white with apricot "shading". He is about 3 1/2 years old. Monty loves all other dogs, cats and people. He can be a bit shy around strange men, but warms up quickly. He is fine with older children but we haven't observed him with little ones. He has learned to play with all his toys and loves chasing balls up and down the stairs. He is crate-trained and doing well with house-breaking. He is a bit concerned when he gets into the car but is fine during the drive. Monty currently is being fostered in a home with three much larger dogs and a cat. He loves walks, but also likes to cuddle up with you at night and watch TV. He loves to be under your desk or table while you are working and really wants to be by your side most of the time. He is very fond of mealtimes and is not a picky eater (he especially loves apples). Monty DelRey would be perfect for a family with at least one other dog to keep him company. He is an affectionate, smart little pup, a quick learner, very happy and will bring a smile to his new owners face often!
