Penny likes to play hard to get but once you win her trust she is a faithful companion who can be found most of the time resting at your feet.  She has an independent personality but likes to make sure all of her family members are in the general vicinity.  She is very good on a leash and walks well with the other family dogs.  Napping is a full time hobby but don’t let this relaxed state fool you, she has a very sassy personality.  She enjoys a game of fetch and loves telling the squirrels to stay away!  Visitors, new sounds and squirrels create a few barks but are easily hushed.   Penny has a beautiful coat that will require professional grooming, she has been groomed her entire life and is accustomed to this process.  Although she enjoys investigating the backyard, Penny is absolutely an inside dog no other options will be considered.  She is from a quiet home with no children and no cats but he has been around lots of other dogs. 

Penny and her long time companion Cody (also featured on this site – Chi mix) recently lost their only owner to a battle with cancer.  They protected and cuddled their owner until the end of her life.  We are looking for a special home that will reward these devoted dogs to the life of love they deserve.
