This little puppy was found on the streets of Mesquite when she was only seven weeks old. Vera had a tough start in life and was very anemic and lethargic when she was rescued, but she is a resilient little girl and after a trip to the vet, a good worming, some vitamins and food she is a happy, sweet puppy. She is gentle and loves to sit in your lap. Vera is extremely smart and already knows how to sit for a treat and come when her name is called. She gets along with the other dogs in the house and even has another young puppy who is teaching her to play. She is a very serious dog most of the time but we are starting to see her silly side come out as she realizes that she is safe and has plenty of food to eat. She is comfortable in her crate and is doing a great job learning to use the bathroom outside. She would be a fantastic companion for someone who is active and enjoys training animals!
