Maltese / Poodle : : Male : : Baby : : Small
At four months old Toby is all happiness and energy with all physical signs of his early trauma gone he is just a winsome, loving puppy. He is all puppy and does everything at top speed, he loves to run, play and give kisses. When its time to slow down he likes to cuddle up with you or another dog and snuggle. Toby is friendly with everyone, he gets along great with adults, kids and other dogs I have not seen him around cats but other than wanting to play with them, he probably wouldn’t have a thought for them. He is just now beginning his crate training and is making great progress on his house training. Toby is used to having company either human or canine all the time, he is also a puppy so is going to require all the training that entails but he is going to be a wonderful, loving companion for his forever family. Toby will do best in a family that has another dog.
Update 7/14 Toby's neck is completely healed and he's a bouncy, typical wonderful puppy. He's a lucky boy, and someone will be lucky to have him as a loyal companion. ART received an emergency request to take this baby pup in and get medical care. He had been attacked by a larger dog a WEEK previously before the owners relinquinshed him to the shelter. ART picked this boy up and took him straight to the vet. They said he wouldn't have lasted another day due to the infections in the wounds. Still recovering, it will be a while before Toby is ready for adoption, but we are accepting applications for this sweet and wonderful pup. Toby's a real fighter and will make a total recovery. Toby is ADORABLE, but he IS a puppy, so he will need a patient and loving home that will take the time to socialize and train him properly in exchange for a lifetime of loyalty, love and lots of laughs!
