Learn more about the Great Pyrenees. Learn more about the Labrador Retriever. This is Ollie. He is a big, handsome lab/Pyrenees mix. Ollie’s owner had over 15 dogs when he passed away and ART was contacted to help. Ollie is 1 ½ years old and just a big, sweet, playful boy. He has the timidity of a Pyrenees but the playfulness of a lab. He gets along great with his foster sisters and doesn’t seem to mind the little tiny dogs he has met. He does guard his food from his sisters but they tend to be a little too nosy! Ollie is slowly starting to really show his true personality. He loves playing ball and going on walks. He is about 72 lbs but thinks he is a lap dog. He is getting great at walking on a leash, no pulling at all. He will be a great watch dog for any family. He has a big bark but only uses it when he is letting you know he is sees a stranger or when he wants to go with you on the walk. He would be a great running partner for someone! Ollie is going to be a lover to his new owner and he is the type you could fall asleep on and he would not move because he wants to please you. We are working on his timidity, so he will need time to warm up to his new owner but he will be devoted and loyal to you till the end. Ollie was also heartworm positive and has gone through his treatment. He should be available mid February, but we are accepting applications for this truly wonderful dog!
