We're not sure what you call it when you cross a Shih Tzu and a Maltese, maybe a smaltz? We call it very very cute! What else is there to say about little Joe-Joe? We rescued this young man from a kill shelter where he had been found as a stray. Severely underweight, covered in fleas and hair in one big mat! We gave him a haircut, treated him from fleas, and are working on getting him to a healthy weight. All of this doesn't seem to slow him down at all! Joe-Joe is very sweet. He loves to play with his foster siblings, mostly ignores the cat, and while he is very independent, he likes to be close to his people so he can get lots of hugs and kisses. He is making great progress with his crate training and house training. Since Joe-Joe is so small, we do not recommend him for families with small children.
