Learn more about the Beagle. Learn more about the Pug. I HAVE AN ADOPTION PENDING!!
P U P P I E S!!!!!! They do not get any cuter than this! Born to mommy Addison on 3/21/09 while she was in our care, we think these are probably beagle/pug mixes, but who knows! While these kiddos have the extra-cute factor going on, please remember that they ARE young puppies and need lots of positive guidance and patience. They chew, pee, poop, chew some more, poop some more (probably in your favorite shoes) and challenge you at every turn. Puppies bring lots of love and smile to your life, but lots of frustration, too... Please be prepared to have your life turned up-side-down!!! Our process for adopting puppies is a little different from adopting an adult dog: 1. Your application and home visit must be completed before final approval for adopting a puppy (including meeting the puppies). At the home visit we will check if your fence is secure, help you identify anything that may entice puppy curiousity/chewing, etc. 2. Every animal that is adopted from us is spayed/neutered before adoption. Since these puppies will be altered AFTER they are 12 weeks old, we allow our approved families to enter into a "Foster-to-Adopt" contract for their puppy. This allows us to place the puppy in your home at 9-10 weeks old so you can being the important bonding process, however, we maintain ownership and financial responsibility until they are spayed/neutered (usually 12 weeks old, but up to the discretion of our veterinarian). This will require you to bring your puppy to our veterninarian in North Dallas for the spay/neuter surgery (or any other medical need). 4. Your contract will include a special provision that you will agree to take your puppy to Puppy Obedience Training within 30 days of adoption. IF YOU CAN NOT COMMIT TO THIS PROCESS, please do not apply for one of these puppies. There are NO exceptions. We do this to ensure our puppies STAY in their forever homes.
