Meiko is a goofy looking and goofy acting dog. He was surrendered to the shelter when his folks were moving. He was a bit stressed out there, but just within a week of being out of the shelter, he has settled down and is enjoying the usual spoiled dog creature comforts. He loves going on walks and playing fetch. He loves playing with his toys and can keep himself entertained. He walks great on a leash and keeps an eye out for those pesky little bunnies and squirrels. He loves hanging out in the backyard, just jumping in and out of bushes, playing fetch with other dogs, or looking for bunnies. He has some mild separation anxiety, but doing better each day. He does well in a crate when his foster mom goes to work, but also does fine if left to roam free in the house. He loves hanging out in his favorite spot on the couch with the best view of the backyard, so he can keep an eye on the birds and bunnies. He loves being around people and lives with few other dogs. He has stayed temporarily with another family that has cats when his foster mom is out of town. We haven't seen him much around kids yet, but he will likely be ok. Of course, as always, kids should never be left unsupervised with dogs regardless.

Meiko is ready to find his new and forever family that he can love on.
