This beautiful and loyal pack recently lost their beloved father. We have until about
August 15th
to rehome all three of these pups before their estate is settled and sold. Willing to relocate anywhere in the country for safe and happy homes. Please share/cross-post to rescuers, rescue groups, friends, family, etc.
These three are grieving. Their lives are being uprooted and they should be allowed a few months to settle into a new home after such a transition. Patience, love, and offering stability and security are key for these three during this time.
All three love daily walks, are great on the leash, are 100% professional sunbathers, and they all thoroughly enjoy the game "stare deeply into my eyes while you pet me."
*Nora, 6-7 yrs old, 45lbs, hound/shepherd mix: Nora is a coy and silly girl, often called a "cat-dog" because of the slinky way she snuggles and leans in for love. Her tail is always wagging and her tush is always wiggling and she eats lying down like a diva (albeit, a lazy diva).
---> Virtues: Nora loves walks, is a serious snuggler, and wants nothing more than to make you happy and smile. Nora is dog and cat friendly, but only with cats who know dogs and owners who can help facilitate a successful inter-species friendship. She loves playing with dog toys (ESPECIALLY her new duck toy, which she's been nursing for a week), and can be easily trained and won over with treats! We've also learned that Nora loves yoga and will take over any yoga mat that is spread out.
*Shasta, 8-9 yrs old, 45lbs, husky mix: Shasta is a maternal lady, usually overseeing the lay of the land, and carries herself with a quiet air of alpha - all dogs bow down to Shasta. She's playful when you want to play, and lazy when you want to relax, and is generally the most easy-going dog around. Shasta would be thrilled to live with someone who works from home or is home a lot.
---> Virtues: When she feels secure, safe, and stable, having Shasta relax into your arms is the most divine thing in the world! Shasta LOVES human touch, and will stand with you while you hug her forever. Head massages are her favorite, and she's intensely loyal and will lay by your feet anywhere you are (or on her own bed by your bed as you sleep). She is child/dog/cat friendly. Shasta is a true "buddy girl" in every sense of the word.
Dover, 8-9 yrs old, 45lbs, doberman mix: Dover loves your personal bubble and thinks he is a lap dog (he is going a little bit blind and so he likes to get close). He is your kids best friend and wants nothing more than a warm human to sleep with at night. Balls are his favorite thing to carry around and he is the ultimate people pleaser.
---> Virtues: Dover is a LOVE and all he wants in return is love. He is eager to please and always happy - not much gets him down. He is quite passive and tries very hard to earn pats on the head. He is child/dog/cat friendly, but only with cats who know dogs and owners who can help facilitate a successful inter-species friendship. Dover can easily make anyone fall in love with him. He will make you laugh endlessly with his antics.
