Pharaoh Hound / Mixed : : Male (neutered) : : Medium
Learn more about the Pharaoh Hound. Cairo is a young dog, around 1-2 years old, very sweet and eager to please. Hound dog to the Egyptian Pharaohs, this breed is among the world's oldest with the classic long narrow muzzle, gently sloping tail and delicately muscled build. Loyal yet sociable, protective yet playful, Cairo is named after Egypt's greatest city. He is young and energetic so needs the company of at least one other dog able to play heartily. Trained to sit, stay, come and improving daily on heeling. He is not dominant, but focuses intently when training. After he has had exercise, he'll curl up for a nap in his bed or in your lap! Cairo's short, glossy chestnut coat is easy care, and his medium size won't overwhelm. Crate trained, housebroken, loves toys and chewies, this regal young man came to us from a member of our Armed Services who was re-deployed.
