Nell thinks she’s a lab!  She lives with them, plays with them, snoozes with them and is “playground monitor” when any of them get too crazy. She hasn’t looked in the mirror yet to discover she’s an adorable Staffordshire Bull Terrier.

But we hope you’ll see what we see: a fun-loving, smart, social butterfly who loves people and other dogs. She loves to snuggle on the couch and ride with you in the car. She just started clicker training and she’d be great with a family with other dogs or as a single dog.

Nell got lucky. Although she started out with a rough beginning in life, her luck changed when her rescuer found her running on a back road in Texas. She had very recently had puppies and she was either dumped or escaped from a fighting kennel in a nearby neighborhood. Starving, flea -ridden and heartworm positive, her rescuer took her in. A bath, heartworm treatment, a spay and loving care helped Nell be the dog she is today.
Her owner, who rescued her, is hoping Nell can get lucky one more time. She has accepted a new job out of state that will require long hours away and knows it’s not the best situation for Nell.
