Animal Rescue of Texas
is a foster-based 501 C 3 non-profit rescue organization founded by a group of tireless volunteers wanting to make a difference in the lives of homeless companion animals in North Texas. ART's mission is to save the lives of the animals that may otherwise perish in city shelters, find the best match for both the animals in our care and the potential forever families, educate the community on the humane treatment of our companion animals, pet overpopulation, spay/neuter and responsible pet guardianship.

Join us... ... for a fun evening of paintings, photography and sculpture from local, national and international artists. Silent and live auction items for every budget. Beer, wine and light hors d'oeuvres are included with your $50 admission. Because we are an all-volunteer organization, we hope you will consider sponsoring our event at one of the levels on the following pages. Your sponsorship - or donation of gift certificates, airline tickets, hotel packages, sports tickets, etc. - allows us to spend all the money we raise to save sweet, deserving pups like those below. From dogs waiting for a last chance in the shelters to dogs wandering the streets - ART fundraises to help all sorts of animals in need. ART to the Rescue is our group's major fundraiser - its how we have the money to answer the call for help when there's a dog in need. We appreciate your consideration, and we look forward to seeing you at ART to the Rescue! Please scroll down to purchase ticket admissions and sponsorships. The Volunteers of Animal Rescue of Texas |

Who knows how Carl ended up on a vacant lot near Fair Park? We don't know if he was dumped or if he was feral, but we do know that his lucky day arrived when volunteers, Jennifer and Tracy Weller, took notice of the poor guy and started leaving food for him. They gained his trust and eventually caught him. Once in a safe setting, Carl was quite the shy guy. With lots of work from a group of dedicated fosters, Carl learned to trust people and to relax while embracing the finer things in life - a belly rub and a soft spot on the sofa for movie night. Calm, charming Carl had another banner day this spring when he was officially adopted. After years of uncertainty and fear on the street, Carl finally had a home to call his own. Congratulations, Carl! |

Jingle was one of many dogs rescued from a hoarder's home. When she first came into the ART program this past winter, she was shut down and shy. Large patches of her hair were missing from poor nutrition and she didn't know much about interacting with people. Animal Rescue of Texas foster, Shuchi Patel, brought Jingle home and watched this belle come out of her shell. Jingle quickly warmed up to people, the other dogs in the household and her confidence grew. She quickly learned how much fun it is to run and play and how great it is to be a cuddle bug. |
